It is essential for cadets to learn how to dig their boots during parades and important march passes where vocal timing will not be given.
The proper boot to dig is the left boot to mark the start timing to every step. However, the right boot digging has been practised in NASS for a long time now, so we shall not change that tradition.
The better cadet will of course, dig both boots, instead of not digging or only digging one boot. This allows the platoon to move without vocals in an orderly manner.
Pictures will be uploaded soon, so please be patient!
